World of WarCraft is the perfect ****ing timesink. It's a good thing I have a job, 'cause this is $15 a month I think I'm definitely going to end up spending.

And it's amusing standing there and right-clicking the peons as a person instead of some hand in the sky. "More work?" I need to go find out if they have their multiclick sayings*....

*Blizzard likes to have units in StarCraft and WarCraft say funny things if you sit there and click on them a bunch of times. "Stop poking me!" "Ooh! That tickles." "Umm... I'm not that kind of Orc."

I certainly can't say I'm not tempted. In fact, I'd probably enjoy it enormously, but at the same time I know I don't have that much time, at least not for the next few months. I'd have to neglect something else, and that's not a good thing.

That's why I only read the books. I ordered Book 2 of the War of the Ancients trilogy today, and despite Amazon saying I have to allow 6 to 8 days for delivery, they put it in the mail this evening, together with my SG1 season 2 box set. I'll probably get them on Tuesday.

I don't know if I should reread Book One, but then I don't have enough time to read the books I haven't read, so fitting Book One into my schedule is quite impossible anyway. I think I'll just have to make do without it. Let's hope I remember enough to know what's going on.

BTW, have you read the timeline at their site? They've included everything in there, all the games, all the stories. Of course, they don't have as much stuff to reference as Trek does, so that makes their job a lot easier. :)

I don't have Book Two yet—waiting for the eBook—so I don't know how good of a recap job Knaak did....

I hadn't read the timeline before, but I have now. :D I'm actually surprised—I was expecting for them to have to lose a lot more from WarCraft II than the last Orc mission or two of the main game....
